Information We Collect

Personal Data You Create

All data you create in Altitude stays on your device. This includes:

• Check-in history and mood tracking
• Journal entries and notes
• Medication schedules and reminders
• Daily anchors and routines
• Task lists and goal tracking

This data is stored locally using MMKV storage. It never leaves your device. We cannot access it.

Analytics Data

We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. This includes:

• Screen views (which features you use)
• Feature interactions (button taps, navigation)
• Device type and OS version

Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII).

You can opt out of analytics at any time in the app settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use analytics data only to:

• Understand which features are most helpful
• Identify and fix bugs
• Improve app performance and user experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Third-Party Services

PostHog (Analytics)

PostHog is a privacy-focused analytics platform. No personal information is sent to PostHog.

Altitude does not use:

• Advertising networks
• Social media tracking pixels
• Third-party cookies
• Cloud storage providers

Data Security

All your personal data is stored locally on your device using secure MMKV storage.

We do not transmit, store, or have access to your personal data on any server.

Your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) protect your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

To delete all data, uninstall Altitude from your device. This will permanently remove all local data.

Anonymous analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their retention policies.

Children's Privacy

Altitude is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International Users

Because all data stays on your device, Altitude works the same way regardless of your location.

Anonymous analytics data may be processed in the United States by PostHog.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of Altitude after changes means you accept the updated policy.
